Raju
Harilela
Mr.
Raju Harilela was born to one of Hong Kong's most illustrious
families, the Harilelas, and who since the 1920's have
created an international reputation from their business
empire, the closeness of their family, their contributions to
charity, and their warmth and love of all mankind. Mr. Raju
Harilela is the son of the 5th brother, Mr. Gary N. Harilela
J.P., whose contribution to Hong Kong has been widely
recognised.
Mr. Raju
Harilela himself is the Graduate of Cornell University's
School of Hotel Management, and following several training
programs with Holiday Inn, Regent Hotel and Hilton Hotel, as
well as several years with Hyatt International Asia/Pacific,
he formed 18 companies in the hospitality related field. In
2002, he was awarded by the South China Morning Post in the
Hong Kong Business Awards ceremony "the Young
Entrepreneur of the Year 2002" Award, for his creativity
and management of a diverse empire, and his contributions.
Mr. Harilela
has taken up Yoga with a passion, becoming a certified teacher
in 1999. He continues to apply his lessons both in the company
and in his day-to-day life. His commitment to
"spiritually commercial deals," is what is at the
core of the Harilela Strategic Group. "A good deal is one
where everyone benefits: the buyer, the seller, and is
considered to be fair and brings benefit to all."
Mr. Egon
Schnyder
Born
in the Wallis in Switzerland, Mr. Schnyder's entrepreneurial
skills and resourcefulness soon took him to Luzern where he
educated himself at the Hotelfachschule, and dedicating his
life to the hotel & restaurant business. With some of the
best hotel schools in Switzerland, Mr. Schnyder learned from
the best, and applied his learnings at various hotels
throughout Switzerland working his way up from a Chef to the
Front Office and Food & Beverage departments.
His desire to
learn and grow took him to one of Switzerland's leading
cutlery manufacturer, Berndorf, where he became the
International Key Account Manager Hospitality following
training at a leading Exportfrachschule. After travelling
extensively internationally, Mr. Schnyder also took some time
to explore Central America and Cuba where his love for the
people and the cultures was formed.
Mr. Schnyder
returned to take up a position with Bristol Myers Squibb
Pharmaceuticals as their Export Supervisor, and then continued
his education at a Personnelfachshule. It was then that he was
offered a position to head up a number of companies under the
Harilela Strategic Group, and took the decision to relocate to
Hong Kong, where he took on the position of Head of Trading of
6 leading hotel equipment companies, and Director on the Board
of Directors of the Harilela Strategic Group.
Mr. Schnyder
has now become a partner in Atsara-Meggen taking on the
position of Managing Director. His enthusiasm and commitment
to learn and grow has now brought him into the F&B and Spa
consulting field, and into the real-estate developments of the
Harilela Strategic Group.
